Cob Wargaming

Here at Cob wargaming we've been playing, collecting and enjoying the

three main tabletop wargames that Games Workshop produce. We have done this for over 15 years and we began with our first love LOTR.

We've built up some great armies over the years and we have a huge collection of miniatures both current, old and even some that are out of production. 

​

It is worth noting that we here at Cob haven't really been keeping up with the times! We haven't yet touched upon some of the newer games that have been released over the recent years such as The Hobbit and The Age of Sigmar. We prefer to stick with the versions that we know and love before GW decdied to make their games PG13. But we also understand that progress is good! So maybe we'll get around to seeing what all the fuss is about with the newer editions and games.

So what can you expect to find on this site?

In our 40K content you can expect to see an endless stream of battle reports that centre around the 41st millennium's most bitter and heated rivalries, the Imperium vs Chaos. We have two (still) growing Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines armies what will be facing off against each other in their age old tug-of-war for the galaxy! We also have a small force of Cadians that may make an appearance every now and then.

We'll be supplying you with battle reports from our narrative campaigns that will tap into this endless revenue of story; we'll even provide you with the details from our scenarios so you can play them yourself with your own armies and see how you fare in these deadly missions! Or even change the combatants altogether and tell the epic tales of your own armies!

Here at Cob we love to tell a tale, and our narrative campaigns will be just that! In our battle reports we'll supply you not only with the details of how our battle unfolded, but with the stories of our characters and heroes that took part as well! So make sure you grab your reading glasses!

In our LOTR sections we'll be utilizing our extensive collection of LOTR armies. Our LOTR collection is our most extensive and spans all armies and especially heroes involved the epic story of The Lord of the Rings!

​

We'll be bringing you battle reports from our own battles as well as playing out the scenarios provided in the original rule books which allow you to re enact the epic battles and key moments in one of the most famous and loved film trilogies ever created.

​

Not only this but we'll also be creating our own scenarios and narrative campaigns to focus on and expand upon those key battles and skirmishes that ultimately decided the fate of Middle Earth! As well as give names and stories to the anonymous soldiers and captains that will have fought along side your favourite characters! Though it is a format that has now officially been put to bed, we'll still dabble in the much loved Warhammer Fantasy Game. ​We have a Chaos, Beastman and High Elf army that will battle it out in the Old World before it gets obliterated! We'll bring you many battle reports and campaigns that will focus around the High Elves desperate and ultimately futile attempts to prevent the total destruction of the world.

This Part of the website is still very much under production (we're still only starting out folks!) but we're hopeful we'll soon have ample content for you to scrawl through. So until then, here is a picture of some High Elf Scouts, who are keeping an eye on our progress and practising their aim for when the battles begin!
